Hi, I’m Jordan, and I have a hard time with winter. 😬

There is a lot that I like about winter, don’t get me wrong…it just doesn’t totally agree with me, or at least, with my brain. A little ironic, considering I live in a northern climate with 6 months of deepdarkwinter. Knowing this, I have to be a little more intentional about my mental health, and that’s what prompted this project. Last winter saw me at my lowest, and I realized I couldn’t let that happen again. So as it gets colder, I’m taking a shitload of Vitamin D (doctor’s orders!), have changed up a lot of my personal life, and am now making these digital collages.

My hope is that these inspire you to get off your phone, because doing that makes a huge difference for me. When life becomes more about the small magical moments during the day, and less of it is spent scrolling…I find I do a lot better. I think this project may help me just as much as it helps you!

Love,

Your Fellow SAD Girl

This project is intended to provide ideas for how to make winter a little nicer, so please keep your personal mental and physical condition in mind and use your best judgement when participating in a suggested activity.

Yes, but, who are you?

Oh, right. I’m Jordan Bird: an INFP, Enneagram 9, and a Reflector in Human Design—if any of those mean anything to you.

I live in Alaska with my husband and two dog children, and when I just can’t look at my computer screen anymore, I’m probably off baking sourdough, trying out yet another new hobby, or throwing a frisbee for one of the aforementioned dogs while chickens follow me around the yard.
